What is Chabad?
People often assume that because I am a rabbi, therefore I was never given a choice and was forced into an observant Judaism. But in fact, the opposite is true. Being good Jewish parents, my parents begged me to become a doctor, but alas, I chose to become a rabbi! It was the beauty of our Torah's teachings and how they enriched my life and provided direction to my struggles that helped me decide to embrace the values of the Torah.
Did you know that Chabad means 'conceptualisation ( chochma), understanding ( bina) and realisation ( daat)?
Chabad is all about gaining an intellectual and deeper understanding of our faith and of the universe.
We owe it to ourselves, to discover the wealth of wisdom buried in our rich tradition and then to draw our own conclusions based upon educated decisions instead of just 'guessing' or because '...that's what I think!'.
Chabad of PBG is thrilled to say that in our quest to provide high quality Jewish Education in our area, we now provide over 60 public classes a month (in addition to many private classes) that reach over 150,000 people each month! Take a look at www.JewishGardens.com/JLI
