A question the Rabbi couldn't answer!

Friday, 9 August, 2013 - 3:26 pm

Someone called me recently gloating about finally having 'stumped the rabbi'. He had emailed me a question that I hadn't answered and he was sure it was because I had nothing to say.

Not intending to burst his bubble, but defending my reputation, 20130809_120928.jpgI told the man that I had not received his email. A brief search revealed that he had made a small spelling mistake in the address and the email had never arrived in my inbox.

Amazing! Letters aren't just tools for communication. They're so much more: they are portals into cyberspace, windows to another world!

Indeed, the act of Creation, 5773 years,11 months and 3 days ago was initiated through Hebrew Letters. The Creator simply uttered the name of each creation and it was spontanteously formed.

Just like the web address followed by pushing 'Enter' brings you to the website, G-d's utterance itself formed the actual creation.

This is deep stuff. It's pure Kaballah.

When someone is gravely ill, we add then another hebrew name. Just like adding a letter to www.FFaceBook.com will bring you to another website, so too will adding a name bring a different Divine energy and G-dly vitality to the sick person.

Hebrew letters are the blue prints of the universe and the windows, the portals, to G-d.

We need to be so careful with every word that leaves our mouth!

                                                         ---

This is why we are so excited to unveil our unique and original Stained Glass Windows Project in our new Shul.

There are 22 windows in our new Shul, corresponding to the 22 letters in the Hebrew Alphabet. Custom designed by world renowned artist Phillip Ratner of the Ratner Museum in Bethesda MD, each window in our new Shul will feature a different letter in Stunning Stained Glass.

Each Stained Glass Window is now available for dedication.

Think of someone meaningful and precious to you: Your mother? Zeidy? A Child? Perhaps your family name or your birthplace. Consider Dedicating a window that bears your family's letter or the letter that represents your loved one and let the magnificent Stained Glass window serve as a portal to draw blessings and power direct to you your loved ones!

Please contact me to discuss a Stained Glass Window Dedication that would be most suitable to your loved ones. Hurry, because there is only one of each letter in the entire Shul Window Collection! Email [email protected] or call me at 561-215-0404.

If you've already made a donation to our Building Project, we are most grateful. If you haven't yet, we urge you to please do so now as we need to continue paying the construction bills in order to be able to have the Shul ready for the end of the year. We can't do it without you!

 Please call Mitch at
561-209-1101 or [email protected] or Michael at [email protected]  to discuss how you can help build this Shul!

Wishing you a Shabbat of open conduits to blessings,

Rabbi Dovid and Chana Vigler
