Have you ever wondered why Israel is called the 'Land of Milk and Honey'? Why not 'Dates and Oranges' or 'Tangerines and Technology' or something else which Israel actually exports to the World?
Milk and Honey are amazing in their nature, just like Israel!
Milk comes from the blood of the mother (which is why a mother doesn't usually menstruate whilst nursing). The red blood, representing death is miraculously transformed into the innocent and pure, life sustaining milk- a total transformation!
Honey too, is the only kosher food in existence that comes from a non koshercreature - the bee! The non kosher insect creates kosher honey; the stinging bee forms sweet and delicious food- once again, a total transformation!
This is the greatness of the Land of Israel. It represents the power to completely reinvent ourselves , no matter where we've been or how low we've fallen.
Any Chabad Rabbi will tell you why he became a rabbi, in his sleep: 'To make the Land of Israel right here!' It is our clearly defined mission to help our fellow Jews to return to their roots through love and learning.
Just as the stinging bee can produce honey, just like the red blood can be transformed into white milk, Chabad Rabbis and Rebbetzins around the world yearn to re ignite the souls of their fellow Jews, no matter their background or spiritually bad habits.
We're delighted to be 'almost ready' to open our 'Land of Israel' on PGA Blvd very soon! The New Chabad Center will be a home for all to experience an uplifting and joyous recharge to their spiritual, emotional and intellectual wellbeing.
Stay tuned for the big news and the exciting opening events. Contact us to find out how you can get involved in the Building of Israel on PGA, transforming it into a boulevard flowing with milk and honey!
